or whether or not it should have been. If it was a basic restructuring of a contract after relegation, I wouldn't necessarily expect to hear about it. Perhaps Neil was threatening to leave following an automatic relegation pay-cut, so the board met him halfway to agree to some kind of compromise deal. Not sure I'd expect that kind of thing to be announced by any club.
