What is this pish?
For 20-odd years, we've been run by two joint majority shareholders, one of whom openly admits to knowing nothing about football despite watching it her whole life - and for much of that time, their say was final. Why is our being run by a couple of fans, frequently very incompetently, now being translated Newspeak-style into "we're unique in many ways"?
Memo to the Norwich City board: co-operative-style football clubs don't turn down interview requests with the most docile local newspaper in the entire country so they can do their own softball interview on Pravda TV. Co-operative-style football clubs listen, learn, and don't make a rod for their own backs by boasting about how they never listen to offers and want the manager to be here for 10 years. Co-operative-style football clubs are not run as family heirlooms!
I'm not 100% against everything Moxey said, incidentally: haven't most of us had increasingly large question marks about the attitude of many players? A good number are past their best and, I think, shot to pieces mentally by failure. Nothing wrong with us completely revamping the squad at all - but where's the evidence the manager is the right man to oversee that? There isn't any. Ditto his coaching staff, and our fitness levels.
The interview doesn't change anything substantively. 2 or 3 more defeats, and I don't see how Neil can survive. It's just all so... so typical Norwich. Fingers crossed, heads in sand, let's have another glass of red instead of doing what we need to do.
