I imagine the flow or non flow of renewals will in a big way

influence the Board decision making process on the manager. You can get away with disregarding the fans when you are a Premier team but that doesn't go down well in the leagues below. I think the season ticket holders hold all the cards. If they choose to walk then that really puts the Board to the cosh.
Ipswich's base has fallen dramatically over the years and what are they 80 million in debt? The Board as dumb as they are will at least have noticed that.
