Foreign ownership

I've always been convinced that it's going to backfire horribly but barring the really extreme cases like Blackburn most seem to work out ok. I thought the American PE plus Russian ownership at Bournemouth was a recipe for disaster but it seems that any risk is mitigated by the buying power - e.g. Being able to pay off FFP fines. So I'd now like to get off my high horse and just enjoy having the kind of owner who wants to be winning the champions' league in five years.
