It's widely discredited as a measure of anything useful

being biased towards just a couple of the nine (or ten, depending who you read) separate kinds of "intelligence", and those who have benefitted from "the right kind of education".

There are culturally neutral tests which are a bit more reliable. But as someone once forced to sit a battery of these things (I do well in an IQ test, but my visual-spatial scores are simply pathetic, which will surprise no-one who's ever met me) I frankly think they're a waste of time.

Be kind. It's more important than anything you can measure. Be proud of other people, not of yourself.
