No brainer from their POV. Wish we'd acted quicker - we might have landed him (or at the very least, we should have asked the question - no, I don't know that we didn't, but I seriously doubt we did).

No I don't want Pardew here. He'd do well for 18 months but then we'd have another 12 when Delia adopted him in the latest of her line of surrogate sons and we wouldn't get rid fast enough.
