Do it. Even the cheaper Squire Teles are Tony the Tiger Ggggreat.

Mate of mine had a Squire Tele when we were younger and in bands and that, and I reckon for fun/£££ it's the best value guitar I've ever played. Much nicer to play than my Epiphone SG, and about the same price IIRC.
