but he is one. A s**t footballer, s**t at passing and controlling a football, but he finds space, and can shoot and score. See his debut goal for us for evidence.
Anyone, and I mean anyone, only needed to look at 5 mins of any Everton game in the last 4 years to see how mediocre a footballer Naismith is, but how good a finisher he is.
So what do we do? Play him as a partner to Jerome or Mbokani, to press centrebacks back, with his constant movement and unerring knack of getting onto scraps in a yard of space?
No, we play him out wide, where his poor footballing ability is exposed. Then we play him in the #10 position and really highlight that he isn't a great footballer. Oh and along the way we put Wes out on the left wing, a position he has never looked anything other than extemely average for us, due to his lack of pace, power, stamina and defensive deficiencies.
Then we drop Naismith, because playing 4-4-2, to your best finishers strength, is for dummies and the 4-5-1 is sacrosanct.
Also we have no right wingers (Jarvis is permacrock, this was a known before we signed him on loan let alone paid £2m) have only one left winger, who is also our back up left back, but loads of central attacking mids and 2very overrated youth team inside forwards (ie s**t wingers who cant pass or cross and just want to cut in and shoot from bent angles. aka Junior Redmonds)
