(Whereas IMO we should upgrade now, let the new guy salvage as much as possible from this season but more importantly have 2 transfer windows to rebuild the squad aheead of next year's challenge.)

I'm not sure what season we would have in store next year under Neil if we don't scrape up this year. Are the existing players really going to listen to him and believe in his tactics/inspiring wee chats off the back of not only a relegation but a failed promotion charge too? He'd be a busted flush.
