The reason they haven't 'pulled away'

is that eight games ago we were ahead of them by some margin.

We were, for example, 7 ahead of Reading, 10 ahead of Leeds and 13 ahead of Derby. That they've made that much ground up and overtaken us in such a short time rather than 'pulling away' doesn't mean they won't now do so.
