Pants is suggesting that whipping up a storm is a negative thing by saying he will do it at work and see what happens (i.e. bad things).
I'm suggesting that holding people to a very high standard, which is what we're doing, isn't really what happens at anywhere other than the relatively few elite organisations that exist, so not really a valid comparison.
A bunch of mediocre people doing mediocre jobs in a half arsed fashion, which is probably about 90% of the office based population, are likely to be annoyed by someone criticising them for not giving 100% at all times as that's not what they're paid for.
But that's not really relevant to whether we should or should not criticise football players and managers. They live a very luxurious lifestyle funded by me and you, so they should be held to account. Giving 100% in their situation is a very small price to pay in the context of what football gives them.
