I'd love him to come here and he'd do a good job, but all managers have their shelf life and I tend to think a year and a half of Roy feels about right. Obviously if he's led us into Europe then maybe longer but realistically to get us up and keep us up would be a great achievement.
The one thing that really needs to change about our club is the attitude to managers. It's never a job for life and almost never for ten years. Take someone on knowing you'll be parting ways - even build in honest review points so both sides know where they stand. The "lack of money" because Delia isn't a multi-zillionaire I can live with very easily, even if that constrains us. It's the lack of ambition/common football sense/common running-anything sense that frustrates me to all hell.
