but I think it was more to do with motivation than great tactics. Sure, we did well against Boro in the final, but we did set up disastrously against them in the league a few days earlier. I think the early goals were more of a factor in the play-off final - as Boro were a defensive team and far better at defending a lead than coming from behind.

Bringing Bassong back in was obviously a good move by Neil as well. Basically reuniting Hughton's all conquering defence.
