I suppose it does, but it's not a big event here

most people will just have an xmas meal on the evening of the 24th then laze around doing nothing on the 25th, and that's it. Over for another year. Nothing whatsoever like our orgy of eating, drinking and making merry.

To be fair it's a lot better everywhere else in S. America I've been for xmas. Sadly I couldn't get any decently priced flights this year.

Shame about the RT. As a family we'd all fight to gain control of it so we could go through the list of films and programs to highlight the stuff we were going to watch. Now everyone's got cable/satellite telly I imagine it's not quite such a treat nowadays
