This is the unpleasant catch 22 situation our board manages to create when

Dragging their heels over sacking managers who have been around for a while but lost it.

Happened with Worthy and Hughton.

I can see both sides. When it comes to the game I can't ever bring myself to hope that we lose but by the same token I do also believe that in the best long term interests of the club we need to change manager and a win today will no doubt delay that change, possibly until it's too late for this season. Consequently if we lose today and that brings about the necessary change then I can take that short term pain for what I hope will be long term gain.

It's why a managers future should never be made dependant on one result in a "must win game." Have already seen enough of Neil to form my judgment and a win at home over Brentford should not make any difference to his fate.
