Are you actually comparing him with roeder?

To be fair, being a leader requires a certain arrogance. If a wet lettuce was giving commands no one would listen.

As a minimum you have to be certain you're right and that requires a strong mind and arrogance isn't far from that.

If anything I think he's lost a bit of that since his early days here.

I can't really think of examples of him being full of hot air, or telling people what they want to hear. But each to their own.

On the face of it, I would say Paul Lambert was far less likeable as a person, based on my very limited opportunities to observe, but a much better manager for us, obviously.
