"Five weeks ago I felt relatively positive about my club"
"I don’t even dislike their philosophy. I think it’s very honourable that they want to be different."
But a big old slagging nonetheless - based, I would suggest, not on the club's finances but on five straight defeats. The piece flits between concerns about financial ambition and observations about managerial failings without really settling on either
Has football 'entered another stratosphere'? I'd say that across the last 50 years, we are right now in pretty much our average position. If football had left us behind we'd be in League One now.
Instead, we're still punching and enjoying more success than any number of bigger clubs (Sheff Wed, Derby, Leeds, Wolves, Nottingham Forest etc etc).
I want us to improve, I want us to be better, I want the best. But articles like this add nothing to the mix; no new insight, just whoops of approval from the entitled echo chamber.
