These being the play-offs in 6 months' time with 87 points still to compete for in a notoriously difficult league where any teams can go on runs of wins or losses and shoot up or down the table, where a month ago a team was first and now it's 6th, and where 10 points currently separate play-offs from relegation and span 14 places in the table? Come on! We don't know what's going to happen, we don't know where WE will finish, or anyone else, or what will happen next. Sacking the manager - and/or appointing Steve Bruce - doesn't guarantee anything other than more instability, at least in the short term.
I do agree with you that he looks different to when he arrived, generally less sure of himself, but still capable of fire and passion. As long as he has that, I think he should retain the role of managing our team. And maybe we should resume ours of supporting him a little more consistently
