my point really is that being a highly paid footballer or football manager is a privileged existence. Yes there are "pressures" i'm sure and there are also other traps that extreme wealth and public admiration can bring (and some will self destruct) but its not really the same sort of pressure that most of the working population are under where they have to worry about how to pay the mortgage or put food on the table in the even that they lose their job.
If Alex Neil gets sacked by us he will get a very good payoff, take a break and then walk into another well paid management job in a few months time (although he's no doubt a millionaire now anyway) because that is how football works. I don't feel sorry for him if we sack him, he has done very well out of us and made his name in a manner that will ensure he's in the running for championship jobs and jobs in Scottish football. For a while we also did very well out of him too so it was mutually beneficial but now it has ceased to be.
