Sat where I am for 20 odd years now and

Seen so many people come and go, many who used to take part in creating an atmosphere rather than needing to be 'inspired', are no longer there. I sing as much as I can but most around me make no noise at all unless something special happens on the pitch. Unfortunately I've watched as those around me have gotten older and many can't be bothered any more to create an atmosphere, it's too much effort. Yet they hang on to their Barclay seat (as they're entitled to of course) and prevent anyone moving in who might want to help create some noise. Many of those replacing those who were singers want to go in the Barclay because it is traditionally the noisy end but they're just passengers when it comes to creating an atmosphere. Also look around you and you'll see the Barclay demographic (age and class wise) is very, very different. That's not having a go, it's just how football has changed. When the football is s**t that's one thing, but when the football and atmosphere is s**t, there's not much left to go for really.
