As always, fans are divided on whether the Smiths are
good for the club going forward. As one who has hoped
for outside investment, my question for the status quo
folks would be this. Will you be happy if the club's league
positioning trends more towards League 1 than the Premier? The Smiths cannot compete in the Premier money wise and have already been pushed down the wealth ladder in the Championship. Would you be happy with their nephew having control if the club was situated in the bottom reaches of the Championship and fighting the annual battle of dropping into League 1? I wonder.
