Actually I think he probably would. But he probably wouldn't have made the

disastrous first touch. Well, not on this particular occasion.

It's interesting. That goal should have been disallowed - it was a blatant foul. But everybody is happy with it, because it's seen as just punishment for the awful clumsiness.
