If they are at some stage going to offer him the job then that's fine by me, I think on the whole he'd be as good an appointment as we could expect. I just hope it isn't in some kind of superconsultancy type of role or even joining in a capacity other than manager. Previous attempts of this ilk haven't gone well, Joe Royle (another Delia favourite) lasted five minutes and when we turned to Dave Stringer before appointing Grant, he'd been out of the game for over a decade. Of course, he might only be here for tea and buns, and personally, I'm not sure he'd take it even if they offered it to him. My only concern with Hodgson is, being as he's another of Delia's friends, whether he'd be able to change the Costa Del Colney atmosphere that I think we've gradually slipped back into since Lambert left. He was a right bastard and didn't make any friends around the place and maybe that's actually what we need right now.
