my strings have been on mine for almost 4 years

ie when I bought it. which is terrible I guess. but it's still perfectly playable and stays in tune, though I'm sure it would sound a lot better with new strings. if I was doing gigs or recording stuff then I would change them but all I do with mine is sit on the sofa and noodle away

and i'm terrible at changing strings, probably because I do it so irregularly and forget the knack of it each time. I always seem to end up putting a kink in one somewhere while tying it on
