Now, i do agree with you there dear fellow

Not that i matter a jot but I rather hate the way that the poppy has been appropriated by footballers, tv folks etc. We've now got fancy diamante fashion conscious poppies and woollen one's and it's all gone a bit cack and off message and cheap. theresa may trumpeting off today in the HoC made me do a cringe.

Same goes for the mawkish hijacking of the repatriations via wooton basset by the press. No need for that at all, don't shred the dignity of the families, if they really want that they can sort it on you tube themselves.

You are right with your last statement, obviously people will buy a poppy or not. However, they could just pop the money in the tin and not take the poppy. That would be just as nice. Even better in some ways.
