Cos it's bloody hard. As is the Twin Primes conjecture, which is much easier to state

Simply, that there are infinitely many pairs of primes only 2 apart, like 3 and 5, or 17 and 19. Significant progress has been made on this but it's still unsolved.

And don't get me started on the Collatz conjecture...
