Has any under-fire manager ever gone out and 'played the youth team' before?

Maybe, if things are as toxic and vile as is being mooted, as a last dice roll/hurrah AN should actually stick the youth team out on Satuday.

Basically say 'I'm done with these guys' and the crowd will certainly not rip the young lads a new one. Plus, imagine how motivated they would be. Full house, up against Leeds. Playing with team-mates they know inside out. Got to be better than First Team Bottler Cryarse Surrendergeddon.
