What strikes me is that if Ashton and Leon were so affected by the piss-taking in the dressing room that one left as soon as he could and the other ended up restrained in hospital then there is something very, very wrong in that dressing room. If Waghorn knows the extent of it then so do the club and should have taken steps to stop and prevent it - perhaps by disciplining the players involved. If they were incapable of doing that then that would suggest that there is no discipline in the dressing room and the management have lost control. Alternatively, the piss-taking was not particularly unusual within a football team or any group of young working class men and contributed practically nothing to Ashtons & Leons woes.

I don't know which is right, but I can't think of any other conclusions.
