Very much dooubt AN is going to be sacked any time soon

You need ruthless and decisive leadership to sack a manager when it isn't even November and you were top only 2 weeks ago. Whatever adjectives you're going to apply to our board, ruthless and decisive don't fit the bill.

But if we did ... We've missed Bruce and Colin, who would have been my top picks. Fat Sam would never come. Doubt Woy would either (though I would be vvv pleased with Woy).

Not sure that we need young/hungry/good with no money right now. We've got a mature/not hungry/expensive squad that is massively under-performing. So what we need a manager who can galvanise what we have: someone with experience and clout. Which is why Woy would be so good.

Wonder what Mick McCarthy could get out of them?
