"The players need to try and play better, it's as simple as that" - Alex Neil

A tad over-simplistic methinks! If the Brighton defeat was a one-off then I think we would try to stomach it. The truth is however that many players have not been at the top of their game for weeks and yesterday's result was an accident waiting to happen. This, Alex, is where the manager comes in and you have to actually manage! Level-headed criticism has abounded on the Wrath for some time now and my point is that if faults are evident to us supporters why haven't they also become obvious to Mr Neil? It isn't as though he hasn't got the players to rotate. He has a huge squad at his disposal and several players who have been knocking at the door simply haven't been given the chance. The moral of the story is this, Alex. If a senior player is seen to be under-achieving for a number of games you have to do your job and drop him. If you are not willing to do this then you should do the decent thing and GO!!
