He can't really control the result of a penalty shootout.

That said it is a continuation of a growing trend for our sloppy play and poor defending to cost us goals and our failure to really assert ourselves when on top. I also know if it's the players mental attitude or what they are told by the coaching staff but we very rarely seem to come out of the blocks well in the second half of games, especially if we have a lead to protect. Last night we had two good first halves and two dreadful second halves.
