Halliburton AMS Schlumberger got away with it comparatively. As for the movie, it is apparently a very accurate reflection of the disaster itself. The guy who is Mark Wahlberg's character was an advisor to the movie makers and I have read a piece in which he says that the explosion sequences are understated in their ferocity if anything.
