Moral of the story is it doesn't matter who we have up front we will still struggle if Worthy persists in putting out this abysmal three man midfield and does not sort the basics out.
At the risk of sounding like a Canary Call caller I didn't go to the game but it sounds like it was exactly like countless other away games this season - concede an early goal and all the impetus, dead and buried by half time and then improve marginally in the second half when the other team are coasting. Oh and how did I know that Convey's "wondergoal" would actaully consist of him running unchallenged from the half way line whilst our players backed off!
We have to sort the shape of the team out, go back to 4-4-2 and get Saf back in there alongside Etuhu or Robinson. Nop more Jarrett, no more Hughes and NO MORE CHARLTON IN MIDFIELD. Get some width in the team (as Reading had in abundance) and start playing some decent football.
If I was Earnshaw I would have tried to pull out of the move having watched us play last night.
Team for scum:
Green
Rehmen, Flem, Doc, Drury
Mcveigh, Robinson, Safri, Huckerby
Johansson, Earnshaw
