Not really the point though. I don't consider letting the opposition get a goal back and hanging on at the end of games as "consolidating" what we have even if ultimately we have come away holding onto our lead. nor do I regard the subs against Shef Wednesday and Ipswich as having been effective because we still ended up drawing.
