Yep. Allows the team to press harder and higher

thus cutting out free flowing attacks and preventing having to defend dangerously deep with a confused looking defensive set up.

Neil also had the option of another sub and could have brought Wes on for the more passive Howson, bringing more energy and greater ball retention/guile to the team.
