I have come to the conclusion that I don't care about the national team anymore.

There was a time when I loved watching England. It was a time when my team had talented and exciting players and a (small) chance of winning something. It was an escape from watching a struggling provincial club team, constantly struggling to compete. Now everything about England seems grubby and tawdry.
