... I only feel that it's this season that Worthington has completely lost the plot on the transfer market - otherwise, his record isn't too bad.

In the main, I feel he signed some reasonable players last summer (although I thought he bought very conservatively) - Jonson, Helveg, Safri and Bentley were decent signings, although the first two weren't managed properly, the third wasn't played enough and the latter just wasn't as good as was proclaimed to be (largely by himself).

I still don't trust him with the Ashton money, mind - but it is his last throw of the dice.
