My first impression on the article -

Was that he took a long time to make a point about something that happens at all clubs, and yes I also thought it might the article might well have been prompted by the club.

Also, I think he's running out of things to write about without criticising the club.

RW's column is always one of the last I read, and I find the citizen journalists much more interesting that the stuff the Archant staff write.
