But if you were Ashton or Shacks and you read all the bollocks about your sexuality, it would have got to you.

If you were Hughes or Etuhu and you read all the posts about how everyone thought you were s**te it would affect your game, as it would be in the back of your mind.

I personally think the average fan doesn't realise how much psychology affects a player.
