Waghorn and Colchester

What so winds me up about Waghorn is that he doesnt tell it as he sees it simply because he perceives that as a local football journalist undue criticism of the team about which he writes will block his access to the club. His journalism is therefore necessarily uncritical and in my view of little value to the public.
We as supporters do not have his access to information and thereforeall that we can do is write on message boards an opinion about what we see which is the performance on the pitch. Message Boards give us the opportunity to be journalists without restraint. Thus message board journalism is in my view more valid as a true reflection of events because we can say it " as it is". This is also why Fans Eye usually gets it right because it is written by journalists who can say it as it is without fear of of being sent to Coventry by the club.
As for Colchester I was at the game today. Halford and Danns are great but Colchester play to a well coached system which exploits their strengths. Put either of them in the Norwich team and they will not be as effective. One example. Halford has a great long throw. There was one incident in the second half when Halford , instantly the ball went out, grabbed the ball and hurled a long flat throw from halfway inside the Derby half. Iwelemnu ( a 6` 3" black Scottish centre forward ) knocked it down for Danns powering into the box from central midfield to score. The ball was in the back of the net within 7 seconds of the ball going out for a throw. Compare that to Norwich`s tortuous style of throw in. Either that move was coached or it was spontaneous. I suspect the former. I do not believe that if they had been playing for Norwich that that goal would ever have been scored. The full back would have eventually taken the throw and lobbed the ball down the line. This incident is why Colchester have won 18 out of their last 20 games in all competitions.
Norwich not only need new players they also need a new manager .
