Great bloke, great talker, great honesty but is he a great manager?

Have a huge amount of respect for Alex Neil the way he handled himself last night but being a decent man, taking honestly, admitting his mistakes etc does not make him a good manager. In my eyes and in his by the sound of it He has to shoulder a lot of blame for this season although a lot of fans seem to want to exonerate him of any blame at all.

The truth will come out next season to an extent and if he does get us back up the following season in the prem whether his play off promotion last year was the start of a special managerial career or the high point of an average managerial career. Is he the next big thing or is he the next Aidy Boithroyd, Iain Dowie, Phil Brown etc.

Only time will tell whether he learns from his considerable mistakes, refinds his beliefs, sticks to them and kicks on as a manager.

I fully understand why so many fans respect him as he is appears to be a fantastic human being which is a rare thing in football nowadays. However he still has it all to prove in footballing terms. A lot of posts I have seen and comments on CC last say how we are so lucky to have him. Alternative to this I would hope he thinks how lucky he is to be at such a club as NCFC. I don't believe currently He would not get a job at any other club similar in size to us in terms of fanbase etc and I think he would have come under a lot more pressure at any other club during this season. He certainly would not have been given so much respect as he was by the fans last night at other clubs.

It's over to you know Alex, have a quick break, reenergise yourself and come back refreshed and ready to show you have learned from your mistakes and that you deserve to be manager of our great club in a footballing sense not just as a human being.

Nothing but top 2 will do next season in my eyes.
