in that AN decides definitively whom he wants to get. My understanding is that others conduct the actual negotiation. Some have said that McNally was known as an unreasonable negotiator resulting in us missing out on first choice (not to mention second to sixth choice) on occasion; others have said that some agents don't like to deal with us for that reason. I have no way of knowing if that is the case or not; my point is that the failure to secure targets isn't really at AN's door. I'm sure he identified targets we failed to land. Whether those targets would have been good enough or not of course I don't know as I have no clue who they were.

I can only hope the Board is fully focused on the coming window as having the right squad to give us the best chance of bouncing straight back again really is the most important thing just now.
