Lets be honest getting Hamiton out of Scots Champs counts for very little

it is probably the equivalent of getting a team out the conference of league 2 in England.

Getting us promoted via the pay offs is a very good achievement that can't be denied despite the fact we bottled automatic promotion in my eyes. This promotion however it has to be put in context we had the benefits of parachute payments so financially we were in a much stronger position than most especially as Financial Fair Play was actually been taken semi seriously by some teams then. It was universally acknowledged by other managers in the league that we had the best squad of players and he took the team over in 7 place.

This season I am sorry but after a bright start he has shown absolutely nothing. tactics and selection has been muddled, he's not been able to influence a game during its course hence the stat we have never come back to win from a losing position. He signings on the whole have been flops, yes i know he has not been helped by the football board and scouting setup in this regard but as he himself has said " he has final say on all transfers"

There have been many other so called bright young managers who have achieved more than him in terms of getting sides promoted only to fall away and I'm afraid I see him in this category with the likes of Iain Dowie, Aidy Boothroyd, Phil Brown and dare i say it Paul Lambert.
