They absolutely cannot not aim for going straight back up

We might hang on to one or two of our better players on the premise that we're quite likely to bounce straight back again (however well-founded that premise may or may not be; I don't buy it quite as much as I did last time, personally, but that's just me). Not even trying too hard to get promoted is a fool's errand because there are no guarantees the season after and then the parachute payments go.
