When you think about that fact, the scattergun transfer approach, the loans and the failure to strengthen the defence all make much more sense, especially if there is any truth to one or two of the other rumours floating about re conduct, agents etc.

That is not something which was beyond our control, it is a failure to put in place a basic system or structure that all clubs should have and as Watford have shown can significantly enhance your chances of survival.
