I'm rather bemused by him just swanning off in a fit of pique.
Clearly something has gone wrong in the CEO & Board relationship, which has probably been brewing for a long time. Us losing to Man Utd is hardly a surprise, so that can't have been the trigger. Was it Sunderland beating Chelsea? But again an odd trigger.
If it was anything like a remotely amicable split, he'd have held on for a couple more games to see out the season, or been asked to do so by the Board and he'd have been churlish to refuse.
