They told a group of us that themselves in a pub in Brentford on the day that Paul Lambert was appointed and they did so because they acknowledged that they needed to bring in someone with more knowledge of the football industry.
If that was their view at that time then I do not see why it would be different now given that they would presumably regard McNally's time at the club and the decision to bring him in as a success.
