surely they can't say anything else. It's just meaningless, media-trained responses to generic questions that allows reporters to fill a column in the paper.

Could you imagine the reaction if Pinto or Hoolahan came out on tuesday and said something like... "we've got no chance in these last two games, haven't you seen us play since January...? we're as good as down"
