That people of the older generation should consider what it means for the upcoming generations, not just what they think will benefit them short term. Because as we know, which ever way it goes, nothing really will change for a while anyway. It's most likely that it will have a very small impact on them comparatively.

I don't believe they shouldn't be allowed to vote, just that they should consider the long term impacts of their vote. In saying that, if they're anything like the old people I used to volunteer with, they would just do whatever the daily mail/UKIP tells them to do anyway. More likely to be swayed by the ideas of patriotism and stopping immigrants 'invading the county', rather than anything else.
