In reality, the amounts that weren't claimed in each constituency are pretty meaningless

There's no way these over spends decisively swung the results of any constituencies, let alone the GE. Not to excuse it - it's clearly completely reprehensible - but in the grand scheme of things these are minor transgressions. Nothing on the scale of the expenses scandal, for instance.

What is shameful is that Labour are too busy deciding what level of anti-Semitism is acceptable to exploit these kinds of Tory blunders.
